Peter has more than 30 years experience in the Canadian commercial real estate investment industry.
He has been with Fiera Properties since the firm’s formative years and has proved instrumental in the development and growth of the business.
Prior to being named President in November 2017, Peter served as Chief Operating Officer, focused primarily on improving risk management and performance analytics. At the same time he was directly responsible for management of the Fiera Properties CORE Real Estate Fund, overseeing the flagship fund’s rapid growth and the successful deployment of investors’ committed funds. The fund surpassed the $1.5-billion mark for assets under management and has yielded top-quartile returns to investors.
In his role as President of Fiera Properties, Peter is focused on continuing the evolution of the firm’s investment-management platform and further enhancing the range of real estate investment solutions on offer, in keeping with its mission to meet the requirements and exceed the performance expectations of its growing client base.
Prior to joining Fiera Properties, Peter oversaw the Canadian real estate operations of a major investment manager, including direct management of a large commercial, open-ended pooled real estate fund. Having worked in the institutional, public-markets, brokerage and private-sector environments over the course of his career, he has gained exceptional experience and expertise in all aspects of the industry.
Peter believes strongly in giving back to his community, as evidenced by his involvement with various charities and his coaching of minor hockey teams. He currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Toronto chapter of Variety the Children’s Charity and of Variety Village.
Blair McCreadie AACI
Senior Vice President and CORE Fund Manager
As a key member of Fiera Properties’ senior management team, Blair’s main focus is the strategic management and continued growth of the the Fiera Properties CORE Real Estate Fund.
This opened-ended pooled fund is well diversified by sector and region, and has yielded higher-than-average returns to its investors. The fund is on track to surpass the $1.5-billion mark for assets under management in 2018.
Blair’s 28 years-plus experience in real estate includes direct involvement in investment valuations, asset underwriting, financing, leasing, and asset management. Prior to joining Fiera Properties, he spent more than 15 years with one of the largest and longest-established, open-ended pooled real estate funds in Canada. There, he held a number of increasingly senior positions, which culminated in his appointment as head of Canadian real estate. Blair was instrumental in driving top-level performance, managing capital deployment and overseeing a period of rapid growth in 2011 and 2012, when the fund was the most active acquirer of real estate in Canada. Blair has also been responsible for raising capital for numerous real estate vehicles, domestically and internationally, creating and launching new products and maintaining client relationships.
Blair is a graduate of York University and holds an Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI) designation.
Senior Vice President, Investments
William has more than 21 years of experience in the real estate investment industry and more than $3 billion of transactional activity to his credit.
His expertise and involvement includes acquisitions, financings, repositionings and dispositions, on behalf of a cross-section of investment vehicles, core and opportunity funds, as well as leading TSX-listed firms, in competitive and rapidly evolving environments.
A core member of Fiera Properties’ senior management team, William reports to the President. Working closely with fund managers and the asset management team, his primary responsibility is to source and execute real estate investment transactions for each of the firm’s real estate funds.
Prior to joining Fiera Capital, William was a fund manager for a $1.9-billion real estate fund with 128 assets comprising 10.6 million square feet under management. In that capacity, he executed more than $620 million of transactions, led the fund’s strategy and interfaced with various institutional clients. William previously was a senior member of a TSX-listed firm, where he focused on growing the mixed-use portfolio while divesting non-core assets.
William is a graduate of Ryerson University and of the University of British Columbia’s Urban Land Economics Program.
Graham Pattison P.Eng
Senior Vice-President, Segregated Funds
Graham has more than 23 years experience in real estate management and investment across all property types.
As Senior Vice President, Segregated Funds, he oversees the asset-management team whose jurisdiction includes all real estate portfolios and funds managed by Fiera Properties. Graham has overall responsibility for all property business plans, reporting, and property/project financing arrangements.
Graham began his career as a building design engineer at a large east-coast engineering consulting firm, ADI Limited. He subsequently worked for Halifax-based Universal Property Management, where he was responsible for the management of office, retail and residential properties.
Graham joined Roycom, a forerunner of Fiera Properties, in 1998 as a financial analyst and was subsequently promoted to the position of Asset Manager. In that role, he was responsible for creating and implementing property business plans and managing all of the firm’s property managers and leasing agents. In 2006, Graham was named Vice President, expanding his responsibilities to include oversight of investor reporting, acquisition due diligence and property financing.
Graham earned an MBA from the University of New Brunswick and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Dalhousie University, and holds a professional engineering designation.
Vice-President, Asset Management, Pooled Funds
Peter has over 10 years of experience in asset management, valuation, leasing, acquisition and disposition of investment-grade real estate.
As Vice President, Asset Management, Pooled Funds, he is responsible for properties in the Fiera Properties CORE Fund.
Prior to joining Fiera Properties, Peter worked as Vice President, Asset Management, at global real estate firm LaSalle Investment Management, where he worked alongside a team responsible for $1.2 billion of office, industrial, residential and retail properties across Canada. His role also included management of problematic properties, property dispositions, and the development of new investment vehicles.
Prior to LaSalle, Peter worked as manager, real estate, for the Bank of Nova Scotia, part of an asset-management, leasing and global transaction team responsible for more than 1,100 bank branches and an international office portfolio. Earlier in his career, at IGRI Advisors / Giffels Management Limited, he was part of a two-person team that managed portfolios of income-producing assets on behalf of the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) and other institutional investors.
Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Environment from McGill University. Active in professional and community circles, he is a member of the board of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks and, in 1998, founded Schools Without Borders.
Vice-President, Asset Management, Segregated Funds
Dwayne has more than 20 years' experience in the management of commercial real estate investments across all property types.
As Vice-President, Asset Management, Segregated Accounts, he is involved with managing the assets of all Fiera Properties investment portfolios and is also engaged in the acquisition due-diligence process.
He joined the property-management team of Roycom Inc., which eventually became part of Fiera Properties, in 2007, as Asset Manager responsible for the performance and business strategy of all properties in the portfolio.
Dwayne began his career as an operations manager for a property-management firm in Atlantic Canada, where he was responsible for more than 2,000 residential units. Following the acquisition of the company by Oxford Properties, he was appointed asset manager for 15 schools throughout Nova Scotia that were built as public-private partnerships. His responsibilities involved working with the developer, contractors and school boards to ensure delivery of a quality product, and establishing appropriate property -management and maintenance policies and procedures. Dwayne subsequently became director of property management for another regional management company, where he was responsible for some 800,000 square feet of office space and several hundred apartments, as well as for oversight of the project-management division.
Dwayne earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from St. Francis Xavier University and participates in continuing education through the Real Estate Institute of Canada.
Senior Vice-President and Co-Head Debt Strategies
With more than 17 years of industry experience, Geoff is Senior Vice President and Co-Head Debt Strategies.
As well as partnering with Scott Rowland to launch the Fiera Properties CORE Mortgage Fund, his day-to-day role is focused on relationships and transactions, including new-business origination, underwriting and closing.
Prior to joining Fiera Capital, Geoff was a principal in Blackstone's Toronto real estate office, with a mandate to originate loans for the firm’s public and private fund vehicles. He previously spent 12 years with GE Capital Real Estate's commercial mortgage business, where he occupied increasingly senior roles in the asset-management, risk and originations functions, with the majority of his tenure focused on deal sourcing, underwriting, structuring and negotiation. Geoff consistently met or exceeded volume and yield targets, and was responsible for generating in excess of $6 billion of new business volume. Earlier in his career, he worked in the area of residential construction financing with the Royal Bank of Canada and in land development with Graywood Developments, a residential developer and private investment-management company.
Geoff earned an Honours Degree in Geography (Urban Development) from the University of Western Ontario. He is a Mortgage Agent, licensed with both FSCO (Ontario) and FICOM (BC) accreditations, and is active in industry circles, having served as board treasurer for the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks from 2014 to 2016.
Senior Vice-President and Co-Head Debt Strategies
Scott is Senior Vice President and Co-Head, Debt Strategies.
In late 2017, he teamed up with partner Geoff McTait to launch the Fiera Properties CORE Mortgage Fund. This open-ended fund is focused on Canadian real estate and will be highly diversified by both asset type and geography.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Scott is a leading Canadian non-bank lender who has been involved in more than $10 billion of transactions. His loan-structuring and valuation expertise extends across all commercial asset types in markets across Canada. Scott’s experience encompasses both ‘senior’ and ‘junior’ secured lending, mezzanine and preferred equity, commercial-backed mortgage securities, opportunity funds and loan purchases.
Prior to joining Fiera Properties, Scott was the managing director for Blackstone in Canada, where he led the real estate lending group. His tenure with Blackstone followed a 19-year career at General Electric, where he occupied a number of increasingly senior roles, including managing director of GE Capital Real Estate in Canada.
Scott earned an HBCom summa cum laude from McMaster University. He is a Principal Mortgage Broker and is licensed by FSCO.
Tammy Newhook CMA
A professional accountant with more than 25 years experience in the real estate industry, Tammy’s expertise extends to all property types.
As Vice President, Accounting and Administration, she oversees the Fiera Properties funds and segregated accounts, and is responsible for all administration-related functions across the firm.
Tammy previously worked with Summit REIT during its initial public offering and, subsequently, during a period when it was externally managed by Roycom. She was initially employed by Roycom as a property accountant before being promoted to Controller, a role that involved working with institutional investors on all types of properties. Her responsiblities included overall financial management of the properties as well as performance measurement. When the Enterprise Property Group — led by Stuart Lazier, who would go on to become a partner and CEO of Fiera Properties — acquired Roycom's property-management business in 1996, Tammy led the accounting transition team.
She began her career at a Halifax-based real estate firm, where she was involved with residential, office, and hotel properties. Tammy’s next role was as assistant controller for an investment organization, where she oversaw cash management and was responsible for the creation of multi-company financial statements
Tammy earned her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 1996. She is a member of the IPD Canada Property Fund Index Advisory Committee and a former president of the MRI Canadian user group. Tammy was also actively involved in the management of the Forest Hills Soccer Club in Halifax for 12 years.
Michael Le Coche CFA
Manager, Portfolio Analytics and Research
Michael, who joined Fiera Properties in 2012, has eight years of experience in the investment industry.
As Manager, Portfolio Analytics and Research, he is primarily responsible for implementing the firm’s research program by providing top-down investment and economic research and analysis, to support the executive team with respect to strategic investment-related decisions. Michael also conducts the portfolio analytics program, by identifying sources of market risk and return in the firm’s various mandates.
He launched his career in 2007, with stints at two leading Canadian financial institutions, CIBC and TD Bank, as a financial advisor. His duties included the provision of lending and investment solutions to clients, as well as underwriting mortgages.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and earned his CFA accredition in 2012.
Paul Macchione CFA
Paul began his career in commercial real estate in 2011.
As Manager, Investments, Paul is primarily responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing investment transactions for all of Fiera Properties’ real estate funds and segregated accounts.
Paul began his career in commercial real estate in 2011. With over $2 billion in transactional activity to his credit, he has a strong background in acquisitions, dispositions and financings on behalf of a variety of large institutional and pension fund clients, including the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, the Nova Scotia Pension Serv ices Corportion, Ontario Power Generation and the Ontario Financing Authority.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Master of Real Property Development from the Schulich School of Business and is a CFA charter holder.
Xinxin Li CFA, MBA
Real Estate Analyst
An architect by training, Xinxin made a career transition to real estate in 2011, and has since bolstered her architectural credentials by gaining valuable expertise in complementary disciplines such as construction, development and investment.
As a Real Estate Analyst on the Investments team, she carries out underwriting, due diligence and transaction management of investment opportunities for Fiera Properties’ funds.
Immediately prior to joining Fiera Properties, Xinxin worked at Freed Developments, where she modeled development pro formas for large-scale office and residential projects in the greater Toronto area. She previously managed the valuation of the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board’s real estate portfolio, which is composed primarily of office, retail and residential properties in North America and Europe with a combined value of some US$23 billion. Her entrance into the real estate industry was at Urbacon Ltd., where her role included contributing to a data-centre partnership, creating industrial-investment models, and managing corporate budget and forecast processes.
Xinxin’s experience as a practising architect included commercial, institutional and residential developments in Canada, China and United Arab Emirates. She holds a B.Arch degree from Tongji University, as well as a Master of Urban Design and an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto.
Oraska Tam MBA
Real Estate Analyst
As a Real Estate Analyst with Fiera Properties’ Asset Management team, Oraska is responsible for supporting the senior asset managers of the Fiera Properties CORE Fund and Segregated Funds.
Prior to joining Fiera Properties, Oraska was employed as an asset-management analyst at Great West Life Realty Advisors, where she worked alongside a team responsible for $2.2 billion of office and retail properties in Ontario. She previously worked as an investment analyst for the BSAR Group of Companies, Toronto-based condominium developer.
Oraska has served the industry and her community as a committee member of the Toronto Urban Land Institute Women’s Leadership Initiative, and as event organizer for the Schulich Real Property Alumni Association.
Oraska has an MBA from York University (Schulich School of Business) and a B.Eng. in Nuclear Engineering from University of Ontario, Institute of Technology.
Chris Clademenos AACI
Chris began his career in commercial real estate in 2014 providing analytical support to Investment and Asset Management teams.
